JOIN US AT OUR 8TH ANNUAL LUAU - SEPTEMBER 6, 2008

Each year, since 2001, the Spirit Of The Pacific Islands and Cure Our Kids Foundation presents an authentic island luau to raise funds to purchase equipment needed in the research to both cure Cystic Fibrosis and to help children and young adults live with this disease.  Our goal is to raise enough funds to help purchase specific equipment needed to help better the quality of life for those afflicted with CF as they wait for the cure.  At the luau, the dancers of Napuakamahinaamekala perform the dances of Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and New Zealand with authentic costumes and music.  Island luau food is prepared, catered and served by the Spirit Of The Pacific Islands, each guest is greeted with a shell lei upon entering the luau.  For the past two years ( 2006 & 2007 ), country star Tammy Cochran has performed an incredible concert for our guests, and ending the luau with her beautiful tribute Angels In Waiting, a song she wrote in honor of her two brothers who died from Cystic Fibrosis, as Francesca dances her hula choreography of the song. 

Join us this year at the Old Moose Event Center, 333 S. 2nd Street, Hamilton, OH  45011.  Festivities will begin at 5:00 PM as we open the doors, you are greeted and welcomed with a shell lei, and for the evening are transported to the tropics while you enjoy appetizers, silent auction, split-the-pot, raffles, live authentic Hawaiian music, and a cash bar.  At 6:00, the luau begins with a complete buffet of onolicious island food and more music....Tammy Cochran will bring the house down as she begins her concert at 7:30.....and just when you think you've seen enough, at 8:30...the dancers of Napuakamahinaamekala (The Flowers of the Moon and Sun) will whisk you to Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and New Zealand in beautiful costumes as they share the hula, tahitian and fire staff and fire poi dances.......A night to remember, for a very worthy cause!
